Dozens of wireless links based on millimeter wave technology that connect municipal sites, educational institutions and camera sites to one hub.
As part of the project, a network core was established which serves all the sites for connectivity to the Internet, content filtering and firewall systems.
IOT applications for a smart city, emergency buttons, monitoring and indication of the electricity network, monitoring of the city’s drainage systems and more
This project focused on upgrading the communication systems in schools throughout Ramat Gan. The outdated physical communication infrastructure was replaced with state-of-the-art wireless systems utilizing millimeter-wave technology. This transition to advanced wireless solutions significantly improved connectivity speeds, reduced maintenance needs, and enabled the implementation of modern digital education tools. The project included thorough planning, seamless execution to minimize disruptions to school activities, and training for staff to effectively utilize the new systems.
Establishment of a wireless communication network for the benefit of the city’s camera network, a 100 terabyte storage array, FW services and the connection of 40 municipal branches in VPN, a virtual server array, a cloud backup array, an array of core and access switches, an electrical backup array for all communication components, a fiber network A new optic includes a connection to a remote DR, the establishment of a hot DR 12 meters underground including an electrical backup array, an array of active line unifiers for surplus survivability, the transfer of hundreds of municipal employees to the office365 environment, the establishment of a distributed AD array for survivability. As part of the solution, SMBIT established dozens of schools scattered throughout the city, replaced obsolete communication switches with advanced and managed communication switches, established wireless systems managed by an administrative controller for all schools, installed dozens of content filtering servers and systems for unifying lines, within the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, managed access points were installed in all learning spaces while making sure to provide a fast network with a very low radiation signature.
Transforming a City with Technology undergone a remarkable transformation into a smart city. Through the implementation of cutting-edge technology, we have created a safer, more efficient, and sustainable urban environment.
What does the smart city system include?
Results:
Broadband internet systems, wireless networks and content filtering and non stop systems, in all schools in Israel: Installation of line consolidation systems, content filtering systems, non-stop systems for hundreds of access points, renovation and construction of passive infrastructures in dozens of schools with extremely high standards. As part of the project, hundreds of old communication switches were replaced with Juniper switches, which were installed in hundreds of new communication cabinets, thousands of kilometers of copper and optical fiber cables were laid, creating a star connection between the school cabinets and the main cabinet in each school. Dozens of content filtering servers and line unification systems were installed, as part of According to the Ministry of Education’s guidelines, managed access points were installed in all the study areas while making sure to provide a fast network with a very low radiation signature. The entire communication system is dominated by advanced control and control systems that provide the ability to control the port level in the switch or access point.
